This project involves a complete top-to-bottom renovation of an 11 story residential building in Miami Beach. Originally built in 1970, the building was severely lacking upkeep and a sense of identity. To give it its own character amongst a row of new beachfront high-rises, we played into some of its original features like its arched wave-like canopy, and used it as an anchoring theme throughout the project. We also wanted to emphasize the serenity of the beachfront property, using natural elements throughout.
Project scope included updating the facade, renovating the lobbies, hallways, and all common areas, adding a gym and resident lounge, and adding a beachfront recreational area. We also created optional renovation plans for residents that would like to update their units.
